Just because you have been accepted by a great university does not mean that college is right for you. While all universities have a reputation, some better than others, also have individual reputations in the various races of study they offer. Some of those reputations are great, other acceptable or not, and still others have arisen. But you may not have realized that the best employers only manage interviews at universities that have a good reputation in a few races.

Since high school students and their parents investigated, clothe and evaluate bids from universities, we advise you to be armed with a series of questions such as those listed below:

1. Which universities are well known in the career you want?
2. Which colleges offer internships, cooperatives and extracurricular work?
3. Do teachers of the university employers frequently interact with the field? How many employers? What?
4. How many employers, in your career to go, actually visited these universities to interview students during the past years? What are the names of the employers?
5. Will it help the university to make the necessary contacts to get summer jobs related to your college major? How many students were helped last year?
6. Do teachers in the area asking for help to students for research projects, books or papers?
7. Does your campus contacts with former students who are already practicing their profession?
8. Do you provide the university a simple way for you to contact students who are pursuing your career interests?
9. Do teachers in your field of study working on projects that might be of interest to potential employers? On what work exactly? “Research projects, books, etc..?
10. Will your teachers or counselors available to meet you often when you have questions or need help?
